Dad, Daddy, Dada, Papa, Pops…. No matter what you call him, the sentiment is the same.

He’s the guy who celebrates your successes, pushes you to your potential, and cheers you on every step of the way.

Father’s Day is this Sunday and it has us thinking about dear old dad and all the other incredible men in our lives. No matter if it’s your dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, or neighbor, things wouldn’t be the same without those who offer a steadfast love, sacrifice for others, and the best cheesy jokes.

We asked our Fellows to share some stories of unwavering support from the men in their lives and we love what they said. Here’s some heartwarming stories of men who love supporting the women in their lives as they chase their dreams.

“My husband is so supportive of everything mission-oriented that I do. He’s learned that most of the time when I’m buying something it is connected to a good cause or a business that helps people achieve their dreams. We’ve gotten to a point where I’ll start to say, “Hey, do you mind if I buy…” and he just says, “nope” with a look like, “why are you even asking?” In starting my Sseko business, he’s celebrated successes with me and been proud of me as I make an impact and share the story that every woman can make an impact.” –Ashley Christopherson

“This man right here is hands down the most amazing human! When I started Sseko I thought it might put a strain on him because I’d be working some at night, but it has been quite the opposite. He supports me more than I could have ever imagined. We were having a conversation the other day and I asked him why he was so good to me and his answer was, “because you are good to me.” Here’s what I know, a great marriage is built and sustained on two really good forgivers! We give forgiveness and everything else too because we are a team, and a pretty amazing one at that. I love him and he makes me a better person, not just because he supports me in my Sseko business, but because he supports me to be me. He accepts me as is, with no strings attached. Oh and, he’s a pretty awesome dad too! That’s one of the many reasons I picked him to do life with.” –Meagan Owen

“This is my 14-year-old son, Ash. As a disabled entrepreneur, he’s always behind the scenes helping me grab my Sseko to show for an event when I’m not strong enough to do it on my own. Most of all, I’m thankful that #becauseofSseko he’s learning the stories of my female co-workers and how life isn’t the same for women as it is for men. He’s learning to advocate for me and for our global sisters and I can’t wait to see how it will continue to shape who he is becoming as a man.” –Melody Newburn

“I’m grateful for the support of my husband, who when he heard about Sseko said “go for it” and supports me fully as a disabled entrepreneur. Who is always making funny faces when I’m doing a Live video. Who enjoys our partially Sseko-funded vacations, like this trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. And who celebrates me rocking my Sseko, and is most often behind the camera taking photos for me. He’s the secret sauce behind my business photos & my number one supporter. I’m grateful for how he’s FOR me and women always and am honored to celebrate him this Father’s Day!” –Melody Newburn
