The Lalibella Loafer is crafted in Ethiopia from subtley-distressed, vintage gold leather that will add an effortlessly chic polish to any look. Named after the Lalibella region of Ethiopia where the the very first pair of these shoes were worn wandering through the ancient rock-hewn churches, these loafers are ready to take you on a grand adventure.
Ethical footwear made in East Africa
The Sseko Lalibella Loafer is crafted from Ethiopian sheepskin sourced from local Ethiopian farmers. These shoes are made at one of the oldest Ethiopian-owned shoe factories in the country. In addition to providing jobs and contributing to the economic development of the region, 10% of the profits of these shoes will go directly towards the Sseko Scholarship Fund. This fund enables bright young women in East Africa to continue their university degrees and become leaders in their communities.
