What do you love most about working at Sseko?

I am very thankful for Sseko because they treat me well and pay me regularly and on time, which is uncommon for many Ugandan employees who belong to other companies. I am inspired by the women here that are so hard-working. I also love how beautiful and clean the Sseko workshop is!

I was born in Northern Uganda. I am “team no boys” and currently do not have any children. When I am not at the workshop, I love to watch movies and spend time with my friends. My favorite film is the Titanic, which I watch at least once a month.

I am from the Kayunga District in Central Uganda. I am a single mother with two kids — Fazil who is 11 years old and Faisal who is 9. While I am working, my kids attend our local school. They are also cared for by my mother and sister who live close to the workshop in Kampala. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music but I do not dance.

What do you love most about working at Sseko?

I love working with the people here at Sseko. I am thankful for the opportunity I have at Sseko because I can now look towards a bright future that will shine. My job here helps me to earn the funds I need to send money home to my brothers and sisters since we do not have living parents to support them.
