Returns & Exchanges

 

The Sseko Product Guarantee

We want you to love your Sseko products as much as we do. We take pride in the high-quality leathers, hardware, and materials sourced from East Africa, and if we ever fall short of your expectations, we want to know! If you're not 100% satisfied with your product, we'll take it back! If you want to keep your product, but have helpful feedback on how we can give you a better experience, please send a note to customercare@ssekodesigns.com with details (and photos are always helpful!).

 

Quick rundown on returns and exchanges

  • Free shipping for returns and exchanges. Free shipping both ways on your first exchange!
  • All returns must be received within 60 days of the order date to receive a full refund.
  • If the return is received after 60 days from the original order date, any refunds will be in the form of an online store credit. (Valid up to 6 months after purchase.)
  • All products need to be returned in or with their original packaging, including the packing slip. Items not returned in original packaging may incur a 15% repackaging fee.
  • Returns and exchanges are received and processed within 10 business days from when you shipped your package back to us.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • If there is a defect or quality issue with your product upon arrival, please call (503-542-7492) or email customercare@ssekodesigns.com so that we can resolve the issue immediately! 
  • If a product is purchased through a Sseko Fellow, please reach out directly to your Sseko Fellow to handle the return or exchange process for you.
  • EXCHANGES: We can only accept exchanges for different sizes or color variants of the style you ordered. (Please note that the price point must also be the same.) If you are looking to exchange for an entirely different style or price point, please place a new order and return your original item. For ribbon sandals, we can only exchange for a different size base or solid color strap. All pattern straps are limited quantities and exchanges are subject to availability.
  • INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: We unfortunately cannot offer free returns or free exchanges on international orders. In order to place an international return or exchange without free shipping, please contact customer care for further information (customercare@ssekodesigns.com)!

 

Items ineligible for refund/exchange

  • Any free promotional items including prizes won during a giveaway or gifts that may have been received during promotions (e.g. get a free ribbon with purchase). Sale items are still eligible for return.
  • Any noticeably worn, used, or damaged items that were initially received in good condition.
  • Any shoes that have been worn outside.
  • Any merchandise purchased from other retailers (these products must be returned to the store from which it was originally purchased, and is subject to the return policy of the originating retailer).
  • Any item that was purchased over 6 months ago is ineligible for a return or exchange of any kind.

 

How to Exchange:

Exchanges are simple! We want to make sure you LOVE your items.

  • Log in to your Sseko Customer Account (If you were not logged in when ordering, visit this page & enter your Order # to request your exchange.)
  • Click on My Orders
  • Click on View Orders on the order you want to Exchange
  • Click on RMA at the top of the page to start your exchange 
  • Click "Request New Return" at the bottom right
  • Please fill out your exchange request in the Comments section and submit Exchange.
  • Download your pre-paid Shipping Label. Tape the top half of the shipping label on the outside of the box.
  • Place new, unused product with all original packaging, tags, and the original packing slip in the appropriate size envelope or box. You can also use a flat rate envelope (provided at your local USPS).
  • Drop the package off at your local USPS (note that you will not receive a tracking number).
  • Please allow up to 10 business days for us to receive & process your Exchange, and an additional 5 business days for you to receive your new item.
  • Please Note: If a product is purchased through a Sseko Fellow, please reach out directly to your Sseko Fellow to handle the return or exchange process for you.

How to Return:

We are so bummed you don't love your Ssekos. Will you do us a favor and tell us why you are returning them? We are excited to grow and we need your feedback! You can email us: customercare@ssekodesigns.com.

Gifts

  • If you received an order from Sseko Designs as a gift, you can still return! We'll issue you a Sseko Designs store credit for the amount of the returned items to your account. Be sure to indicate that the return was a gift on the return form.
